How corrections are handled
We assess the reported statement against its context and available evidence. A report may result in a correction, added qualification, updated source, or removal of unsupported material. Disagreement about a recommendation does not always mean the underlying facts are wrong.
Visible changes
For material factual corrections, the article should describe the correction and show its revised date. Typographical and layout fixes may be made silently. We do not promise a fixed response time or publish the sender’s identity without permission.
